Kiosk lockdown software restricts an Android device to the apps, websites and functions you approve, blocking system settings and everything else. LimaxLock applies Android kiosk mode remotely, to phones, tablets, rugged devices and POS terminals.
Kiosk lockdown is one part of the platform: LimaxLock pairs it with full Android MDM, rugged device management and a secure kiosk browser — every device managed from one console.

ExploreKiosk lockdown software restricts an Android device to specific apps, websites or functions, preventing users from reaching unauthorized settings, applications and device features. LimaxLock turns phones, tablets, rugged devices and POS systems into secure, dedicated-purpose devices, all managed remotely.
Android kiosk mode locks a device to a single app or a small approved set so it can only do one job. On fully managed devices, LimaxLock enforces it at the operating-system level, so it survives reboots and cannot be swiped or crashed away.
Enroll the tablet in LimaxLock, create a kiosk profile and choose single-app, multi-app or browser mode. The tablet boots straight into kiosk mode and stays there; exiting requires an admin password or a one-time exit code. The same profile also works on phones, rugged devices and POS terminals.
Single-app mode locks the device to one application. Multi-app mode shows an Android kiosk launcher with a selected set of approved apps and hides everything else. You choose either one per kiosk profile.
Screen pinning is Android's built-in consumer feature: it temporarily pins one app to the screen, but anyone can exit with a button combination, it does not survive a reboot and there is nothing to manage remotely. Kiosk mode through LimaxLock is enforced by the operating system on a managed device - it holds the device on your apps permanently, survives reboots and reset attempts, and is configured and monitored from a central dashboard. Screen pinning suits handing your personal phone to someone for a minute; kiosk mode is built for business devices.
Yes. Every kiosk is managed from the LimaxLock dashboard - change the app set or restrictions, lock, restart, sync or update devices, and push new profiles over the air to one device or the whole fleet.
Yes. Kiosk profiles block the Android settings app and can disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, display and other system controls, so users cannot change how the device is configured.
Yes. The kiosk browser runs the tablet full-screen on a single website or an allowlist of approved websites, with browser controls hidden - ideal for web-based POS, forms and check-in flows.
A single website kiosk locks the device to one web address in a full-screen browser, with the address bar, tabs and navigation hidden, so users can only use that page. It is the web equivalent of single-app kiosk mode - ideal for a web-based POS, booking or check-in page. When you need more than one, LimaxLock also supports an allowlist of approved sites.
Yes. The kiosk app relaunches automatically after boot, crash or power cycle, and scheduled reboots keep unattended kiosks healthy without a site visit.
Yes. LimaxLock manages rugged handhelds, scanners and vehicle-mounted devices the same way as phones and tablets, with the same kiosk profiles and OS-level enforcement.
